EPHESIANS 4:24- And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and t
rue holiness.

When we hear the word holiness mentioned in church or in conversation more often
than not we think of the aesthetics that we have been taught by religious tradition as to
what holiness is. We begin associating holiness with a physical equivalent such as what
we wear; put on or take off; do or don't do.

However, the Spirit requires us to have a holiness that will be acceptable in God's sight;
As the scripture says:

HEBREWS 12:14- Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no
man shall see the Lord.

By this scripture we see that we must have a holiness which will surpass our human
and religious standards.

Standards of holiness are set by the Word of God; and indeed to have true holiness we
must be compliant with the Word. There are some ministers, pastors, and churches that
have set certain standards that are not necessarily wrong; however, these standards
often come from personal convictions of one or maybe a few who are in authoritive
positions. Often these personal convictions are propagated to others with the intent to
make others compliant to their standards and not standards that are necessarily required
to be compliant with the standard of holiness set by the Word.

At this point I want to express that I go to many different churches and worship with
many sects of the Jesus Name Movement. I want to say I respect all Pastors and
ministers who have set standards that have shown separation from the world. I love
you all and I am thankful for all that are working in the Kingdom of God. This message
is by no means an attempt to discourage anyone from following what God has put in
their heart to walk closer with Him. I have standards for myself and my ministry as
well. And I do my best to exhibit Standards that are compliant to the Word of God and
be without fault and without blame. (II PETER 3:14)

Nevertheless, we must set the standpoint of holiness by the Word of God and realize
that true holiness begins in the heart with a true spiritual regeneration. Without this
holiness no man will see the Lord!

Holiness begins with being a new man!
Just as God created the earth out of that which was dark and void (nothing)
God takes us and truly makes us a new creature out of nothing.
(II CORINTHIANS 5:17)

The Ephesians scripture above tells us,¦which after God is created...
The word created  means to be regenerated. This scripture is evident to have the true
righteousness and holiness we must have an inward regeneration, not just a change of
the outward show and attempt to establish righteousness by the flesh.

The word righteousness means justified of God. We must continually look to the death
and resurrection of Jesus Christ to acclaim a righteousness that will be acceptable in the
sight of God. (Romans 4: 25)

True Holiness is having a real fellowship with God; manifesting conduct that is
compliant to His Word.

Thanks be to God for His Blood that has brought us into fellowship with Him and His
righteousness which we can have, with a true heart,
True Holiness
HAVING TRUE HOLINESS
