PSALMS 85:10- Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have
kissed each other.

In our walk with God it is virtuous to desire truth and nothing but the truth. We know
that God desires us to walk in the light even as He is in the light.
(I John 1: 7) That
light is undoubtedly His truth which He is and which lights every man that comes into
the world. That light is The Lord Jesus
(John 1: 9)

One great attribute of The Jesus Name Church is the desire for truth. Not only
concerning the Revelation of Jesus, but in all the Word. Some of you have sought the
Lord through much prayer and fasting to walk in the truth that you now walk in. God is
going to be found of them that seek Him and, if I may say, His truth.
(Jeremiah 29:11-
14)
The truth also prepares us to be used of the Kingdom of God for His glory. Having the
truth sets us free to perform our hearts desire in the Kingdom.

God can only receive worship that is given in Spirit and in Truth.
(John 4:23-24). Also,
God cannot receive worship that is done in any spirit of bondage; especially religious
bondage. The order or control of flesh, no matter how good intentions are, often binds
the true worship that God intends His Church to have. God can only receive worship
where the liberty of His spirit is.
(II Corinthians 3:17)
Knowing the truth enlightens you to know that you are able to receive the things of God
and sets you free from the spirit of religious or fleshly bondage.
(Romans 8: 15)

The zeal of desiring the truth is admirable; however, what has often been missing is
being able to have mercy in the quest for the truth.

The biblical meaning of the word Mercy is to ease the consequences of sin. (The word
Grace means to forgive sins).

Anyone who has biblical knowledge knows the law of reaping and sowing. (Galatians 6:
7) We understand that there are consequences for the actions of sin. However God's
mercy, which is renewed every morning, does indeed change the consequence of sin.
(Lamentations 3: 21-25)

Having the truth is indeed powerful, but let us be mindful that it is by God’ grace
and His mercy that we walk in the truth. The same mercy that God has given us to
walk in His truth is also able to allow others to come to the knowledge of the truth. The
same mercy that God has had for many of us is able to become real in the lives of
others, no matter how unforgivable we think a situation in someone's life may be.

God desires us to be a light of the truth to others.  The presentation of the truth is made
perfect when mercy is incorporated in our witness of the truth.

Many times the truth is not received because of the lack of mercy that some have in
their presentation of the truth. Even though it is true that people need to be made aware
of sin and false doctrine; people also need to see that there is a way to be made free by
the love and mercy of the Lord Jesus.

God is preparing His people to present His truth with mercy; those that come to the
truth will also know and understand His great mercy that will enable them to find a new
life in The Lord Jesus. They will understand that Jesus took the punishment of sin
through His cross.
(Hebrews 9: 26-28)

Let us all work in the perfection of Mercy and Truth.

Praise the Lord; for His mercy endureth forever.
(II Chronicles 20:21)
MERCY AND TRUTH ARE MET
